I was in the middle of getting dressed for the company party today when Mr. Postman stopped by with my package!!! (They actually tried to deliver it yesterday but no one was home, one day shipping from Japan, wut.) I didn't have time to open it before the party, but as soon as they let us out, I ripped that sucker open and put the cd in the car.

Impressions:

#1 They've completely given up all pretense that Prince of Tennis is a shounen series.
#2 Oishi's first line completely melted me. Chb;vkjsher Kondou's voice is amazing. Oishi had better be getting his own album in April. And this album had better have a) another Golden Pair duet, and b) a REAL Tezuka/Oishi duet, because that is just necessary and Kimi wo Sagashiteta just doesn't cut it, no offense to Taka-san and taking Tezuka out for drunk karaoke. But seriously, Okiayu and Kondou, singing together? I nearly orgasm just thinking about it.
#3 「ちょっと待ってくれよ、英二」Yes, I was giggling insanely in the middle of traffic. And they're like, singing each other's names and stuff. Yes. OMG. Fangirl.
#4 There is no possible way "Song For Us" can NOT be construed as a romantic ballad.

ALSO! My STANCE PUNKS cds came with a completly unexpected tin! Probably because Bubblegum Viking just came out and I got a first pressing, which I may have noticed if I'd read the webpage more closely. I love it! It's silver with the flaming skull logo on it! I have no idea what to put in it!

And yaaaaaay, CCD box set! The artwork for discs 5 & 6 is highly disturbing, though. o.O I'm trying to tell myself that I don't like the cover for discs 1 & 2 either, since I hate Suoh/Nagisa, but they both look so cute, it's hard. Anyway, the important part is chibi omake! Which I don't have time to watch now because I have to go do last minute Christmas shopping. x_x

x__x I just spent a shitload of money at CDJapan.....

The main thing was the CCD DVD box set. Don't ask me to rationalize that purchase. I know it's not the world's best anime, but I NEED IT SO SHUT UP. :P At least the exchange rate's more favorable now than it was when it was first released.

Then, since I'd already decided I was getting that, I was checking to see if they perchance had the Fujicest pull charm that [livejournal.com profile] rkold showed me because it is SO FREAKING ADORABLE AND I WANT IT AND [livejournal.com profile] sailorstarsun, IF YOU SEE THEM WHILE YOU'RE IN JAPAN, PLEEEASE BUY ME ONE OR TWO OR SEVEN I WILL PAY YOU BACK YOU KNOW I'M GOOD FOR IT. >o< Uh, anyway, they didn't have that, but hello Golden Pair single being released on the 20th? How did I miss that?? By completely avoiding fandom, I know. Like there's any way in hell I'm not scooping that up and sleeping with it under my pillow at night. So that went in the cart, too. And I figured that since I was already hemmorhaging money, I might as well get the two Stance Punks albums I don't have, since they don't yet have a big enough fanbase that their stuff can be stoled on teh intarwebz. Plus, it's my duty to transliterate their lyrics, or something.

And I didn't even order the FMA calendar I wanted, but since those have to ship separately anyway, I figure I'll order it once the points from this order are applied to my account. Yay, discount!

Okay, almost every song on the track listing page for Stance Punks' first album at last.fm is completely wrong. Romanizing 夢追狂の詩 as "Yume O Kuru No Shi"? WTF? So pleeeeeeeeeeease go here and vote for the changes I suggested~~ I'm only mentioning it because you only get a week to get a majority vote or the suggestion gets dropped, and Stance Punks has such a small fanbase that I'm worried it won't get any votes at all. ^^ Please? *wibbles*

I saw my brothers again on Thursday! :D I know I should hope for them to be adopted soon (and I think they will be, because they're sooooooooooo adorable and friendly) but I'll miss them so much! There's another cat there who just loves to be held and will try to sit on your shoulder if you let him. XD

A hot guy was checking me out today at the physical therapist. :3

OMG. I don't even know where to start. Concert was SO. FUCKING. GOOD. And OMG. Maybe I got good concert karma for snatching the PE'z setlist and giving it to the girl who was obviously a huge fan? Because vgfdsjhggrhjaieugbksrnz.

Okay. Since I didn't want to have to worry about missing the last train, I actually drove into the heart of Cambridge (where there is ample free parking after 5:00!) I left way late, but The Rodeo Carburettor had just started when I got there. They were good, but not amazing. I was able to get a pretty good spot for Stance Punks, who I had heard of, but not heard, so I was looking forward to them. They put on a really good show. The lead singer's got an amazing amount of energy. He kept knocking down the microphone stands because the stage was so small. XD And then the bassist ran into the middle of the audience for part of one of the songs, which happened to be exactly where I was standing. So that was pretty exciting. ^^

PE'z was definitely not what I had expected (having never heard of them before)... sort of a jazz/punk fusion quintet. It was interesting and a nice change, and they kept the moshers pretty quiet. As soon as they went off, I snuck right up next to the stage, which was when I snagged the setlist and gave it to the aforementioned fan, who was very appreciative.

And then~ >o< When Hosomi came out to help with the set-up, everyone cheered. And okay, in photos, he generally looks decent, but after seeing him in person I've got to say he's one of the most unphotogenic people in the world, because he is GORGEOUS. Anyway, the roadies put down the setlist, which we were all reading upside-down. There were lots of songs from all over on it, not just from Riot on the Grill, but the song I particularly wanted to hear wasn't on it, so I yelled "Mr. Feather!" And Hosomi turned around, and I was like "Play Mr. Feather!" And Hosomi smiled and was like "Well... we haven't practiced that one too much...." but OMG, he is SO nice and friendly!!! And he kept laughing because he was playing Pizza Man during the sound check and I kept on singing every time he stopped. They also played Undone (The Sweater Song) during the sound check, which was pretty cool. I can't remember exactly what the setlist was, but they played a few songs, and Hosomi really got a kick out of those of us in the front who knew all the words. I also spent a lot of time molesting their photographer who was standing right next to me, thanks to the moshers. But it was okay, because somehow after one of the big mosh surges, I ended up even closer to the center of the stage. ....By which I mean, only [livejournal.com profile] dokool was standing between me and the center monitor. And Hoshi was talking to the audience (he's so nice!), and asked if there was anything that anyone wanted them to play. And I yelled, "Mr. Feather!" And he laughed and was like, "Okay, Mr. Feather," and they had to do a little warming up for it, but when they got into it it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good, and the crowd really loved it. So I won't be surprised if that makes it on their regular setlist. ^__________^

Afterwards, I got everyone's autograph, and Hosomi was so friendly and chatted with me and some people that I met from [livejournal.com profile] ellegardenrocks, and took pictures with us. And he gives really good hugs! ♥ And kya, I am so hardcore in love with him now. >_>; I feel kind of bad for The Emeralds, because they seemed pretty good, but not many people were paying attention to them. ^^ I bought a couple of Stance Punks cds, and got all their signatures too. ^-^ And then it was just awesome, because members of Stance Punks and Ellegarden and The Emeralds hung around in the audience listening to TsuShiMaMiRe, who are a strange blend of cotton candy girl pop and hardcore rock. They're good, but not really my style. Hosomi and I talked a bit more (of course I couldn't think of a single thing to say) and when he had to leave he gave me another hug. ^__^ ♥ And in return for his autograph, I gave him a little sign that said "U.S. loves ELLEGARDEN" because I'm a dork. ^^U And I floated back to Sei-chan, and WTF is with the traffic signals around Harvard Square, anyway? And I chastised myself for not asking him to go for a drink or something, because me = the in love.

And now it is time for me to change out of my beer-smelly clothes and drool over my autographs go to bed.
