There were three main points to my New Year's Eve:

1. Being a total dork with [livejournal.com profile] caffeineaddict is fun.
2. For a mere $8, I have obtained the single gayest object on the planet: A rainbow-striped feather boa flecked with gold shinies.
3. Boston has a Krispy Kreme. \o/

And dude. [livejournal.com profile] paradoxthree, WHY did you automatically assume I'd be spending New Year's Eve at home?! *thwaps*

Now. I know that one of my resolutions goals for 2005 is to be less bitchy, but I've got to say this. Folks, bashing Christians for no reason other than their religion, without even offering the common courtesy of trying to understand or acknowledge their point of view, is not only really uncool, but just shows off your own hypocrisy and intolerance. I'm completely sick of this politically correct double standard. Anyone who thinks it's okay to bash anybody's religion can get their ass off my friends list right now. [edit] And please note that this is NOT directed at anyone in particular; it's just something that has been building up for quite a while now from various sources, and I wanted people to know that it's not something I'm going to be putting up with.

Finally, huge hugs for [livejournal.com profile] busyizzy. .__. *squeezes* ♥

I may just be having a paranoid moment (or at least I hope so), but if this is about the addendum to my post yesterday about being sick of a certain person on my friends list pulling Christian superiority on me, feel free to drop me. That wasn't about any kind of double standard, it was about a woman I've known for about five years suddenly up and declaring that a) I wasn't actually raised right because my parents are catholic and not protestant, and b) that despite her own PC-ness in putting up with me, she was pretty sure I was going to hell for being with Caroline. Excuse me my anger-management moment.

.... It appears that LJ ate my reply. Or more likely, I accidentally closed the window before clicking ok. >.> Anyway, what I meant to say was that it had nothing to do with that. Few things piss me off more than people who put on a "righteouser-than-thou" attitude.

And as I've told Sephy, I can handle disagreeing, but if you plan to start bashing, which I truly hope you don't, then I'd rather not be reading that, nor would I like to consider someone who thinks that religion-bashing is okay my friend.

However, since the two of you have been far kinder to me than I've ever deserved, I'd prefer to not lose you.
