I HAVE FOUND JESUS.
No, really. I was goofing off on Google Maps again, and came across this, totally by random.

o_O))
Also, Wikipedia presents one of the most amazing and disturbing things ever caught on film (or, Engineering Gone Horribly Horribly Wrong): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/Tacoma_Narrows_Bridge_destruction.ogg
[edit] Okay, I went and looked at the Area 51 site, and now I am officially freaked the fuck out.

Date: 2006-04-18 06:05 am (UTC)The Tacoma-Narrows bridge thing really makes you want to remember your Physics. It's also the reason why the Romans used to break step when they crossed bridges and etc. A couple of years ago in England they had their milennium celebration and whatever it was the people were standing on, I forget if it was a bridge, or just a walkway, also started to wave and wobble with the resonance :) Architects and engineers have a hard time of it.
