I finished HP7. Critically speaking, it was much better than the disaster that was book 6, except for the epilogue. Dear God, that was horrible. As a whole though, the book really should have been longer, because there was so much that had to happen, and much of it wasn't given the proper attention. On a more personal level, LUPIN/TONKS SUCKS. >| And JKR should not even attempt to write romance, because she's really really bad at it. I still blame the movies for the downturn in the books; I think Warner Bros. leaned on her to dumb down book 6 and de-gay Sirius and Remus. Even though 7 was a big improvement over 6, it still lacked a lot of the intricacy and wonder of the earlier books. All in all, I have to say I still feel a bit let down by the ending.

Speaking of children's literature being ruined by Hollywood, the new Dark is Rising movie makes me want to vomit. >_>
