most boring entry ever?
Aug. 13th, 2006 01:34 amI got a little USB-powered keyboard vacuum today. It has a brush attachment and a hose attachment, and the hose can fit between the rows of keys. This is important now that Tess has decided to start sitting on my lap regularly.
I did a lot of rearranging in the kitchen. I threw out lesboy's collections of plastic bags and yogurt containers. I moved the vases under the sink where the bags were (the whole under-sink area was literally stuffed full of bags, like 200 of them), moved unused appliances to where the vases and yogurt containers were, and that made enough room to put a spice carousel in the cabinet above the stove. For some reason, half the spices were already in that cabinet, and the other half were in the pantry. I was going to put a shelf in the freezer, but when I got everything out, I saw that the back of the freezer was shaped funny, so it didn't fit. >_> It was the perfect size except for that, too. I'll have to take it back and get a smaller one. But while I had everything out of the freezer, I threw out all of lesboy's expired stuff, which was about 80% of what he had in there. I didn't throw out his microwave, but I set it aside for him to throw out, and set mine up. Damn these kitchens for being so small.
There's still a few more cabinets to reorganize, but most of it's done. I also need to get a new dishwashing set because ours is really grody. Well, mainly it's the mat that's disgusting, because it's warped and doesn't drain anymore. But I like that it doesn't drain, because it means that the dishes don't have to be next to the sink to dry. Stupid lesboy doesn't LEAVE ENOUGH GODDAMN ROOM next to the sink to let the dishes dry there. But I've decided that from now on, any dirty dish/pot/soda container that he leaves in my way will just get moved to his place at the table.
I also got a new pillow. I love my old pillow, it was just perfect, but after fifteen years, it's finally started to get saggy. I had a hard time deciding between the firm and the medium pillow. I prefer sleeping on my side, and a firm pillow is best for that, but because of a problem with my shoulder (seeing the doctor on Tuesday), I think I'm going to have to try to train myself to sleep on my back. But you can't snuggle under the blankets as well! ;o; Anyway, I got the medium pillow. The important thing though, is that the model for the Serta pillows is absolutely beautiful. I'm totally in love. XD
Speaking of pillows, Tess is using the edge of her kitty bed as a pillow right now! SO CUTE.
