YOU NEED TO GO SEE THESE TWO MOVIES.

>o< They were both so beautiful and poignant and I cried like a wuss. And so did the gay couple sitting next to me. XD And pretty much everyone else in the sold out theaters. And good God, Jake Gyllenhaal was GORGEOUS.

But, guh. The acting. AMAZING. And the scenery. The story is so sad, though. And although it's imbedded in a love story, I think it's really about the things you can't choose in life, and the things you can, and what happens if you make the wrong choice. And squee first mainstream movie focusing on a gay relationship and all shows sold out and movie poster 3 stories high on Broadway for the whole world to see! >o< *flails* So proud to be a part of that.

And Memoirs of a Geisha is just beautiful. We didn't get to the theater in time to get good seats for that though, and we got stuck in the third row, which made my tummy unhappy. I had to go sit on the floor in the back of the theater. But that was okay because I could appreciate the beauty of it better from there. And anything else I tried to say about it would be pointless because it's just so visual that you can't understand without seeing it.

But the real point of this post is HA HA I'VE SEEN THEM AND YOU HAVEN'T. And then [livejournal.com profile] pieces and I were five minutes late for our bus and thereby missed it because why on earth would you hold the last bus out of New York City for five minutes on a winter night for people that have already bought tickets so you know they're not there yet? x_x So we rode around the subway for a while and eventually decided to go to Port Authority and get a Greyhound. XD The trials of being an obsessive fangirl. Sleeping till 1:00 felt soooo good though~~~

Oh, Kate's right btw, that Ten Ren tea place in Chinatown really does make bubble tea that is quite significantly better than any other bubble tea I've had.
