1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Hm, I climbed Mt. Washington, I got my motorcycle license, and I took a multi-week road trip by myself. Oh yes, and went to Japan. ^^
2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
My only resolution was that the year would have more good than bad in it, and I think I accomplished that. For next year... I want to organize my apartment and eat more veggies.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Yes.
5. What countries did you visit?
The U.S., Japan.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
Self-discipline? Organization? BUMP OF CHICKEN TICKETS!
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I guess May 1st, since that's the day I found out I was moving to Japan. And of course December 4th, the day I saw Asian Kung-Fu Generation in concert.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Getting on the JET Program, obviously.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Being lazy.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really, but I had two teeth removed and my tubes tied.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My DS!
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Hmmmmmm. Aki's. (Crap, I need to send her a New Year text tomorrow!)
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? Worried?
My own, as always. Kate's, lesboy's.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Road trip, Syuusuke, surgery (probably in that order, too).
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Moving to Japan, AKG, Phoenix/Miles. >.>
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
Uhhhh... Probably that piña coladas song, because I had honestly never heard it before my road trip, and then I kept hearing it again and again.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? Pretty much the same.
iii. richer or poorer? Poorer, probably.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Cleaning, sightseeing.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting time.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I went to the park and had a stray cat sit on my lap. :P
22. Did you fall in love in 2007?
No.
23. How many one-night stands?
Uh, I think you can probably guess.
24. What was your favourite TV programme?
Supernatural, I guess, even though I haven't had time to watch it in ages.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Don't think so.
26. What was the best book you read?
Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Linsay, I suppose. Didn't have time to read much.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Mute Math.
28. What did you want and get?
A new job, a DS, an AKG ticket.
29. What did you want and not get?
Ellegarden tickets, Bump of Chicken tickets. An apartment that allows cats.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
I think I have all of three to choose from, so... The Simpsons?
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I don't really remember what I did. Oh yeah, I was going to go to McDonald's, but my mom called and talked forever. Woo.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Having a clean apartment. Having more friends to do things with.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Casual?
34. What kept you sane?
The meds.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Jensen Ackles and Hosomi Takeshi, of course. XD
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Um, the fingerprinting thing, I guess? Politics really bore me.
37. Whom did you miss?
I miss Sei-chan and Yuuta. ;_;
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I've met a lot of new people lately, so it's hard to say. Desirée, Marina, Jarrad, and Chie would be at the top of the list.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
Do not wash towels with regular clothes, and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE SURE THERE'S NO KLEENEX IN YOUR POCKETS BEFORE DOING THE LAUNDRY.
